Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 & 2 herein to provide police protection to the petitioner from the hands of 3rd respondent, who interfering with the petitioner's peaceful possession and enjoyment of his property comprised in S.No.315/3A1, measuring to an extent of 14 Cents situated in Anakaputhur Village, Tambaram Taluk by considering the representation dated 16.09.2022.

ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed to provide police protection to the petitioner from the hands of the 3rd respondent, who interfering with the petitioner's peaceful possession and enjoyment of his property comprised in S.No.315/3A1, measuring to an extent of 14 Cents situated in Anakaputhur Village, Tambaram Taluk by considering the representation dated 16.09.2022.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner lodged a complaint on 07.07.2022 before the second respondent and on receipt of such complaint, the respondent police has given CSR No.977 of 2022. Thereafter, the petitioner sent a representation dated 16.09.2022 to the respondent police and on receipt of the same, no action has been taken. Hence, the present petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 16.09.2022 is under enquiry.

4.In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), the second respondent Inspector of police is hereby directed to consider the representation dated 16.09.2022 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy.
