O R D E R

The petition has been filed to direct the respondent Police to investigate the complaint of missing man and file a report tracing the missing man by name V.Saravanan, aged 51 years.

2. The respondent Police has filed a Status Report indicating that the receipt of the complaint regarding the missing of Saravanan since 20.01.2021, the Police has registered the case in Crime No.422 of 2024 on 12.09.2024, even prior to that the online complaint has been enquired till date there is no clue about the missing man. However, the landlady of the premises where the absentee was residing, had informed the Police that he had not paid the rent and also due to some of the shop owners nearby and gone missing without any intimation. 2/5

3. The respondent Police in the Status Report has stated that they are conducting the investigation to secure the missing man and as and when the man is secured it will be reported to the complainant.

4. From the complaint, it appears that the said Saravanan who was living separately away from the family members was noticed missing by his relative when he visited his place of stay at Vellore. The exact time of missing not known and whereabouts could not be traced till date. The Police has making all their efforts to trace the missing man.

5. Therefore, recording the efforts taken by the Police, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent Police to make all efforts to find whereabouts of the missing man and report the same to the petitioner.
