PRAYER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS to quash the FIR registered by the 1st respondent/The Inspector of Police, Mandharakuppam Police Station, Cuddalore District on 20.06.2025 in Cr.No.102/2025, for the alleged offence punishable under Section 87 of BNS r/w.7, 8 of POCSO Act 2012.

ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.102 of 2025 registered under Sections 87 of BNS r/w.7, 8 of POCSO Act 2012.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the 2 nd respondent/defacto complainant lodged a complaint against the petitioners, arrayed as A1 to A4, alleging that they kidnapped the daughter of the defacto complainant, compelled her to marry the first petitioner/A1 and that A1 had committed sexual assault upon her. He would further submit that both the 2 nd respondent/defacto complainant and petitioners/accused are relatives and due to 2/4
certain family disputes, the present complaint has been maliciously and falsely lodged against them.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the investigation has already been completed and final report has also been filed on 23.07.2025. Hence, the question of quashing the FIR does not arise.
