Prayer in W.P.No.33414 of 2016 :-Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertinent to the impugned order passed by the respondent dated 26.08.2016 and to quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct scientific awareness campaign and public meetings throughout the Thiruvannamalai Taluk in order to abolish superstition among the people and to develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform on 29.09.2016 and other alternative days.

2. When the matters are taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that meeting is postponed due to panchayat election.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that the application of the petitioners will be considered afresh in accordance with law.

4. Recording the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, this Court directs the respondents to consider the application of the petitioners dated 26.08.2016, De hors the earlier order passed by them and giving necessary directions, after election, in accordance with law.

In view of the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
