Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to pass suitable orders and direct respondents 2 to 5 to shift/remove the existing TASMAC Shop Nos.8729, 8722 and 8761 at Manavalan Nagar, Near South Railway Station, Tiruvallur, which is situated in the same area within a distance of 50 Feet from each other in the interest of public.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We see no purpose in entertaining this petition for shifting of the TASMAC shop which has been there for quite sometime, as the larger issue of removing TASMAC shops from areas where they are in violation of the norms is being examined by us in a separate petition in W.P.No.7505 of 2013 and the Government has already done the enumeration process after measurements and has taken one year's time to shift all the shops. The petition is, thus, closed in the aforesaid terms. No costs.
