The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to call for the records from the 2nd respondent pertaining to the registration certificate bearing registration number TN92C4447 issued for the car model Maruthi Tour S.Diesel, and quash the same.

2. With reference to the grievance of the writ petitioner, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 made a submission that, the FIR has already been altered on account of large scale allegations and pursuant to the alterations made in the FIR., the respondent police had recovered 33 cars out of 79 complaints and remaining 47 cars are yet to be recovered. It is contended that Accused No.1, Gowthamraj is still absconding and efforts are being taken to apprehend him and it will take some more time to get the final investigation report, as the investigation is under progress.

3. This being the present position, the grievance of the writ petitioner has been taken note of by the competent authorities, following which complaint was registered, 33 cars were already recovered and further investigation is going on to apprehend the accused persons and to recover the remaining cars. Thus, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the competent authorities for redressal of any other grievance.

4. With the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
