This Criminal Original Petition is filed to call for the records in respect of Crime No.617 of 2021 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Sulur Police Station, Coimbatore District and quash the same against the petitioner.

2. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner did not commit any offence as alleged in the impugned FIR. Without any base, the respondent Police registered a case as against the petitioner in Crime No. 617 of 2021 for the offences under Sections 120(b), 420, 423, 464, 466 & 471 of IPC. Hence he prayed to quash the same.

3.The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) submitted that in the course of the investigation, the Investigating Officer found that two named persons in the FIR were not involved in the alleged crime and therefore, their names were deleted and reported to the concerned Judicial Magistrate as early as on 01.06.2022. A copy of the communication is also furnished before this Court for perusal. The final report, as against the 2/4

other accused, is taken cognizance by the learned Judicial Magistrate Sulur in CC.No.111 of 2023 and the same is pending and final report is filed. Hence, he prayed for dismissal of this petition.

5. Recording the Government Advocate submissions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
