The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his legal notice dated 20.01.2024 within a time fixed by this Court.
2. According to the petitioner, the land comprised in Survey No.48 situated at Veerabayangram Village, Koogaiyur Post, Chinnasalem Taluk, Kallakurichi District belonged to petitioner-Temple and in the A-Register it was mentioned Temple property. However, recently the revenue records have been changed as if, the said land is a 'Government Land'. Therefore, the petitioner issued a legal notice to the respondents seeking correction of the revenue records in the name of the petitioner-Temple and the same has not been considered by the respondents till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents would submit that if proper representation is submitted by the petitioner to the Commissioner of Land Administration, 2/5
Chennai, the same will be considered in accordance with law.
4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the petitioner-Temple to give a fresh representation to the Competent Authority namely Commissioner of Land Administration, Chennai, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any such representation is made by the petitioner-Temple, the same shall be considered by the said authority and final orders shall be passed on its own merit and in accordance with law, within a further period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of such representation.
5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
