ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to disburse a sum of Rs.20,17,170/- being the petitioner's amount to the credit of petitioner's bank account in ICICI Bank bearing Account No.60310152062, (IFSC: ICIC0006031) Sowcarpet Branch, Chennai as sought vide representation dated 21.07.2023.
2. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side)
submitted that though the petitioner's money to the tune of Rs.20,17,170/- has been transferred to accused bank account and when th accused account was frozen, a sum of Rs.3,05,832/- is only available to disburse in favour of the petitioner. Further in pursuant to the said allegation, FIR was registered and it is pending for investigation in Crime No.74 of 2023 on the file of the first respondent.
3. In view of the above, the respondent is directed to disburse whatever the amount now found, the same to be transferred to the credit of the petitioner's account within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order .
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed. No costs. 20.02.2025 Index : Yes/No : Yes/No Speaking/non-speaking order rkp
