This is an application seeking extension of time for passing of award by the Arbitral Tribunal for a further period of 6 months. 2.

This Court, vide order dated 10.02.2017 in O.P.No.884 of 2016, had appointed Hon'ble Mr.Justice J.Kanagarajan, a retired Judge of this Court as Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate upon the disputes between the petitioner and the respondent. It is stated that the respondents at the earlier stage of arbitration accepted for settlement but later on in the month of March 2019 they reported to the Arbitrator to proceed with the case. On April 2019 the applicant filed the proof affidavit along with necessary documents and cross examination of witnesses by the respondents counsel have been completed. Since the mandate of the Tribunal has expired, the present application has been filed.

With the consent of both learned counsel, time is extended by six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order for completion of the Arbitral proceedings and for passing the award. The parties are directed to co-operate with the Arbitrator for passing of the order as expeditiously as possible. 5.
