This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 08.03.2024, wherein the petitioner has requested the 2nd respondent to post the petitioner in some non-sensitive post.

Heard Mr.K.Sellathurai, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Ananda Kumar, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 3. 2/5

The case of the petitioner is that he was working as a Village Administrative officer at T.Kalathur Village, Perambalur Division. An FIR came to be registered in Crime No.2 of 2023 by Deputy Superintendent of Police Vigillance and Anti-corruption on 18.04.2023. The petitioner was placed under suspension by the 2nd respondent through proceedings dated 21.4.2023. 4.

The grievance of the petitioner is that he has been kept under prolonged suspension and the request made by the petitioner to reinstate him by revoking the order of suspension did not evoke any response. Therefore, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 08.03.2024 and deal with the same on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a 3/5

copy of this order.

The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 2nd respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order. 7.
