The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 2 & 3 to mutate the revenue records based on the Will executed by his father dated 16.09.2002, by considering his representation dated 05.07.2024.

2. According to the petitioner, his father purchased the property in S.Nos. 129/1, 129/6, 129/4 & 80/1 in Edapadi Village, Salem District. During his life time, he executed a registered Will dated 16.09.2002 bequeathing the properties in his favour. Thus, the petitioner claims absolute right over the property under the sale deed executed by his father. Subsequently, he submitted a representation on 05.07.2024 to the respondents 2 & 3 seeking mutation of the revenue records in his name based on the Will executed by his father, but the same has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered, on its own merits, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.07.2024 and pass final orders, on its own merits, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing necessary notice to the interested parties.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
