Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to rectify the 1/5

wrong entries which is mentioned as "Grama Natham" instead of "Punjai Land" made in town survey register in respect of petitioner's ancestral property comprised in old Survey No.14/17, Block 3, Ward F and New T.S.No.43, to an extent of 0.25 hectares situated at Mannurpet Village, Ambattur Taluk, based on the petitioner's representation dated 07.06.2024. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to consider his representation dated 07.06.2024 seeking correction in the classification of land in the revenue records pertains to the property situated in Old Survey No.14/17, Block-3, Ward F and New T.S.No.43 to an extent of 0.25 hectares at Mannurpet Village, Ambattur Taluk.

2. According to the petitioner, the above mentioned property is his ancestral property and originally the property was classified as Punjai land in the revenue records in the name of his forefathers. Later the classification was 2/5

wrongly entered as "Grama Natham" by the official respondents and the names of Paneerselvam and Prithivraj were also included in the revenue records. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 07.06.2024 seeking reclassification of revenue records and also deletion of the names of the strangers. The said representation has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr. A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3, would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 07.06.2024 will be considered on its own merits, within a time framed fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.06.2024 and pass final orders, on its own merits, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing necessary notice to the interested parties.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
