Today, when the matter is called for hearing, it is brought to the notice of this Court that subsequent to the order under appeals, the learned Single Judge, vide order dated 05.02.2024, appointed Hon'ble Mr.V.Bharathidasan, Retired Judge of this Court, as the Election Commissioner to conduct the election of the first appellant's Union.

In view of the above order, these Letters Patent Appeals are become infructuous and accordingly the same are dismissed as infructuous. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions stands closed. However, it is made clear that the election has to be conducted in a free and fair manner without influencing any of the adverse remarks made against the appellants in the order under appeals.
