O R D E R
Heard M/s.Shyamala, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate, accepting notice on behalf of respondents. With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for disposal.
2. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the third respondent to consider her representation dated 02.08.2016 and issue Family Card.
3. Initially, the petitioner's name found place in the Family Card issued to her mother Tmt.P.Saroja and at that time, she was about 17 years old. Subsequently, after her marriage with Mr.Udhayakumar, that occurred some time in 2005, her name was deleted from her mother's Ration Card, which came to be issued in June 2015. However, the petitioner could not include her name along with her husband and mother-in-law in their Ration Card, as by that time, the petitioner's husband passed away.
4. Therefore, now, the petitioner would seek for a Ration Card in her name as she is suffering without the same and she has got a minor son to support. With these facts, a representation has been given to the third respondent and since no action was initiated, the petitioner is before this Court.
5. In the light of the facts, the third respondent is directed to cause verification of the above details and if found to be in order, the third respondent is directed to issue a Ration Card in the name of the petitioner and her minor son, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. Accordingly, the above Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
