By consent of the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. Heard the submissions of Mr.M.Ramdass, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Srinivasan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 04.01.2016 with regard to payment of Death-cum-Retirement benefits.

4. It is the case of the petitioner that her husband Ramanujam joined as Village Administrative Officer on 23.05.1984. While he was working at Boganapalli Village, he https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

was arrested in a criminal case and suspended from service on 16.10.2008. Subsequently, his suspension order was revoked and he was reinstated into service. The petitioner would further state that her husband died on 18.01.2015 and she was paid Rs.1,50,000/- as compassionate amount and the other benefits were not settled and therefore, she made a representation dated 04.01.2016 to the 1st respondent. Since no order was passed, this present writ petition has been filed.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.01.2016 on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
