O R D E R
The petitioner seeks mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of their representation dated 22.11.2018 and 21.02.2019.
2. Heard both sides.
3. It is seen that aggrieved against the enhancement of property tax, the petitioner made a representation/appeal before the first respondent on 21.02.2019. It is stated that the said representation/appeal is still pending.
4. Considering the fact that the general revision notice provides for such appeal remedy before the first respondent and further considering the fact that the petitioner has approached the first respondent and filed the said appeal, it is for the first respondent to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the matter, I direct the first respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 21.02.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till an order is passed by the first respondent, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner to recover the enhanced tax amount. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
