This petition has been filed to modify the condition imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.15919 of 2024 vide order dated 16.07.2024 directing the petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.25,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs Only) to the credit of Crime No.56 of 2023 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the order.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is only witness to the alleged agreement and that he had not received any amount. Further, the petitioner is a senior citizen and thereby, he could not arrange the said sum of Rs.25,00,000/- and comply with the order of this Court. Hence, he seeks for modification of the said condition. 3.Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is inclined to modify the said condition to the effect that the petitioner is directed to deposit a sum of Rs.22,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Two Lakhs Only) to the credit of Crime No.56 of 2023, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered. 12.09.2024 ksa-2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Page No.1/2
