ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for not obeying the order, dated 04.06.2024 passed by this Court in Crl.R.C.No.76 of 2024.

2.This Court by order, dated 04.06.2024 in para 17(iii) had passed the following directions:

"(iii)The respondent police to inform the Immigration Authorities that the petitioner is permitted to travel without obstruction."

3.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, it is this direction that has been violated by the respondent Police; that when the petitioner wanted to travel, the immigration authorities prevented him from doing so.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent Police had challenged the order passed by this Court on Page No.2/4

04.06.2024 before the Hon'ble Supreme Court, the same was withdrawn subsequently; that thereafter the Look Out Circular was withdrawn; that pursuant to which the petitioner had also travelled abroad; and that therefore he is not pressing the contempt petition. 5.In view of the change in circumstances and in view of the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is of the view that the contempt petition can be closed. Hence, the contempt petition is closed.
