ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to pass orders on the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 21.05.2022 against the Award passed by the 2nd respondent in award No.Roc.20/2018 (LA) dated 11.03.2022.

3. At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents that the appeal filed by the petitioner would be disposed of by the appropriate respondent after issuing notice to petitioner and other interested parties, if any, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner within a period of 16 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after issuing notice and after affording the petitioner and other interested parties, if any, a reasonable opportunity of hearing. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any 2/4

views with regard to the merits of the appeal and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the appeal on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
