The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on the application of the petitioner dated 04.11.2015 and consequently direct the respondent to give pension and other monetary benefits to the petitioner. 2.The petitioner would state that her husband was working in Union Christian Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chetpet, Chennai and he paid the amount from his salary to the Employees Provident Fund Office, Chennai, through his School management for several years and has given her name as nominee. The petitioner's husband died on 21.06.2015 in a road accident leaving behind his wife/petitioner, one minor daughter and one minor son as his legal heirs.

The petitioner obtained legal heir ship certificate and death certificate from the concerned authorities and submitted an application dated 04.11.2015, for family pension through the School Authority with all necessary documents, but the same has not been considered so far. Hence, left with no other alternative, the petitioner has come forward with this petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.

3.Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

4.Considering the nature of the case, this Court without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 04.11.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
