For Petitioner : Mr.R.Rajarajan For Respondents : Ms.Lalitha Government Advocate 1/4

ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking quashment of the records in proceedings Na.Ka.No.444/2015/A4 dated 03.06.2019 on the file of the second respondent and to direct the respondents to correct her date of birth and give consequential benefits. 2.The case of the petitioner is that she was appointed as Anganwadi worker in the Government Higher Secondary School, Achuthamangalam. Her date of birth was 15.03.1960, but in the Service Register, it was wrongly mentioned as 03.05.1959. According to the petitioner, she made representation to correct her date of birth and she was under the impression that her date of birth in the Service Register would be corrected. By proceedings dated 03.06.2019 in Letter No.444/2015/A4, the petitioner was relieved from service with effect from 31.05.2019. Seeking continuation of service for one year, this writ petition came to be filed.

3.This Court is of the view that the petitioner joined service in 2/4

the year 2010 itself and she knew the mistake in the entry of her date of birth in the Service Register. There is no proof as the petitioner had made representation sought for correction of her date of birth in the service register. If the petitioner is aggrieved, she would have taken steps to make the correction while she was in service. After getting retired from service, seeking for correction in her date of birth and pursuant to that correction, seeking service for one more year cannot be granted. This application is a belated one.

4.Since this Court does not find any infirmity in the relieving order impugned in this writ petition dated 03.06.2014 issued by the second respondent in Proceedings Na.Ka.No.444/2015/A4, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
