PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct respondents to issue patta in the 1/5

name of the petitioner regarding the property situated at Plot No.3, Salamangalam Village, in Old Survey Nos.110 and it has been sub divided in Survey Nos.110/7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 measuring about 3733 of Land and intimate the same within a stipulated period before this Court and also direct them to pay compensation to the petitioner and grant such other suitable reliefs and thus render justice.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to respondents to effect the subdivision and issue patta in his name in respect of property measuring an extent of 3733 Sq.feet situated at Survey Nos.110/7, 8, 9, 10 & 11( Old Survey No.110), Plot No.3, Salamangalam Village, Sriperumpudur taluk, Kancheepuram District.

2. According to the petitioner, he purchased the above mentioned property under sale deed dated 26.10.2005. He submitted an online application for effecting sub-division and issue of patta in his name. The online application was made on 31.03.2023 and the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court. 2/5

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents 1 to 4, submitted that the online application of the petitioner dated 31.03.2023 will be considered on its' own merits within a time fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the same, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the online application of the petitioner dated 31.03.2023 and pass final orders on its' own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 05.09.2024 Index : Yes/No nr 3/5
