The President of the Village alleging that the respondents 3 to 5 preventing the completion of drainage work sanctioned by the Government at the costs of Rs.3,62,000/-, has given a complaint to the respondent police and same been registered in Crime No.190 of 2024 on 13.09.2024 and since no action taken, the present Writ Petition is filed seeking Mandamus to take action on the representation.

2. The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents 1 & 2 states that it is a case and counter, wherein the 4th respondent herein has given a counter complaint in Crime No.191 of 2024 against this petitioner, her father and brother. Alleging that as a Ward Member, he questioned the President for constructing the drainage with substandard material, for which they have abused him.

3. Perusal of both the complaints clearly show that the project of laying drainage work been stopped due to the fight between the petitioner herein and the Ward Member/4th respondent. The reason stated for the said stoppage of work though diagonally opposite, the sufferer is the public and the 2/4

public money. Hence, without adverting to the allegations made against each other, this Court directs the respondent police to provide adequate police protection for completion of the drainage work and take action against the persons who prevent the execution of the work.

4. With this observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
