The petitioners, who are arrayed as accused, apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under sections 420 IPC on the file of the respondent police, and hence, seek anticipatory bail.

2.Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that petition enquiry is pending only before D1 - Ramanathapuram Police Station, Ramanathapuram and in this case no petition enquiry is pending nor a case is registered against the petitioners before the respondent police.
