ORDER

When the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the matter has since been settled between the parties. Both sides have filed a Joint Memorandum of Settlement, duly signed by both the appellant and the respondent.

2. This is an appeal against acquittal in respect of the offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. The terms of the memorandum shall form part of this order. A Demand Draft for a sum of Rs.8,00,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakhs only), drawn on Canara Bank, Modakurichi Branch, bearing DD No.014227 dated 29.05.2025, has been handed over in open Court to the learned counsel appearing for the appellant.

3. In view thereof, Crl.A.No. 473 of 2017 is disposed of in terms of the Joint Memorandum filed between the parties.
