Respondent Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2023 within stipulated period, consequently direct the respondent to withheld the transfer proceedings against the petitioner in No.26024/pipie (Transport) 3/MTC/2023, dated 27.06.2023.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.07.2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner was working as Conductor of Mandaveli Depot, Metropolitan Transport Corporation, Chennai. He was unauthorizedly absent from service. Therefore, he was suspended from his service by an order dated 20.06.2023. Thereafter, suspension was revoked by an order dated 27.06.2023 and directed him to join duty on the same day and he was also transferred from Mandaveli Depot to Chrompet-1 Depot. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted representation to consider him to be placed in the same depot viz., Mandaveli Depot. The distance between the Mandaveli Depot and Chrompet-1 Depot is very nearer and he can very well join duty at Chrompet-1 Depot. Therefore, the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered and it is liable to be dismissed.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
