The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.08.2023 to maintain a sufficient access point for "Rams Agencies" at No.66, Bangalore NH-4, Chembarambakkam, Chennai - 600 107, Thiruvallur District, directly from the National Highways within a time frame determined by this Court.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is running a petrol pump station at Bangalore - Chennai National Highways and the respondents are taking steps to construct a service road meridian barrier before the petitioner's petrol pump station and since the same will obstruct the access to the 2/4
petitioner's petrol pump station, the petitioner made representation to the respondents seeking to not to construct service road median barrier, however, the same has not yet been considered. Hence, this Court may issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.08.2023 and to pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time frame.
3.Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.08.2023, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to send a copy of the representation along with a copy of this order to the respondents so as to enable the respondents to pass appropriate orders.
4.The writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
