The petitioner is the claimant in LAOP No.291 of 2011 pending on the file of learned Subordinate Judge, Kancheepuram. The petitioner is a senior citizen. Even though the land owned by the petitioner / claimant was acquired in the year 1998, award was passed only in the year 2002. For enhancing the value of the land, the petitioner laid a claim petition before the Subordinate Court, Kancheepuram in the year 2011. Till date, the matter is pending without any disposal. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking direction to the learned Subordinate Judge, Kancheepuram, to dispose of LAOP No.291 of 2011, as expeditiously as possible.

2. Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. It is well settled that the benefits shall be given at the right time and if it is delayed, the land looser will be put to grave hardship and irreparable loss. The present case on hand is pending for more than a decade.

Considering the long pendency of the case and the age of the petitioner, a direction is issued to the learned Subordinate Judge, Kancheepuram, to dispose of LAOP No.291 of 2011, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with the above observation and direction. No costs.
