This Criminal Original Petition has been listed today under the caption for being mentioned at the instance of the learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the case in S.T.C.No.284 of 2016 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court No.I, Erode has ended in conviction, whereas in the Order in Crl.O.P.No.21224 of 2017, dated 22.11.2021, it has been wrongly mentioned as the case ended in acquittal.

3. In view of the above submissions, instead of the word 'acquittal' in the third line in third paragraph, it shall be read as 'conviction'.

4. The other aspects contained in the Order dated 22.11.2021 shall remain the same.

5. The registry is directed to incorporate the above correction and issue fresh Order copy to the parties concerned.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceeding laid down in S.T.C.No.284 of 2016, pending on the file of Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court No.1, Erode.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the case is ended in aquittal on 07.11.2017 before the Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court No.1, Erode in S.T.C.No.284 of 2016.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondent, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
