(Made by P.N.PRAKASH,J.) Contending that the detenu is physically indisposed and requires to be released, this petition has been filed seeking to fix an early date for final disposal of H.C.P.No.1888 of 2021.

Heard Mr.R.C.Paul Kanagaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

From the medical records produced by the police, it appears that good medical treatment has been given to the detenu at the Central Prison, Cuddalore and his cataract in the eyes has also been operated upon at the hospital and his vision is stable.

However, the learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the detenu is suffering from lower back pain.

In our opinion, lower back pain is not such a dangerous disease that would imminently result in death.

Recording the same, this criminal miscellaneous petition is dismissed. However, we direct the prison authorities to provide the best treatment to the detenu.
