This petition has been filed to transfer of investigation pertaining to the Crime No.950 of 2016 dated 14.07.2016 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent to CBCID/Special Crime Branch and expeditious the investigation. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the investigation has been completed and a closure report was filed before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Mylapore.

3.The procedure followed by the respondent police is not in accordance with the judgment of this Court in Manohari vs. The District Superintendent of Police, Sivagangai District, Sivagangai & others reported in (2018) 2 LW (Crl.) 522. 4.The respondent police is directed to take back the final report from the Revenue Divisional Officer, Mylapore and file it before the II Metropolitan Magistrate Court, after giving notice to the defacto complainant.

5.This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
