ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to consider the representation dated 19.05.2025 made by the petitioner.

2. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, subsequent to the mortgage deed dated 20.05.1967, the petitioners and their father have been in possession and enjoyment of the subject properties for more than 58 years, whereby they had constructed the 2/6

houses in a portion of the said land and cultivating the remaining lands. Thereafter, at the time of UDR survey, the said land was classified as "Anathinam". Therefore, the petitioners requested the 1st respondent to issue assignment patta for the subject land by way of representation dated 19.05.2025. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this writ petition.

In reply, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioners' representation dated 19.05.2025 was already considered and rejected by the respondent. The said rejection order will be dispatched by today (03.09.2025). Hence, he requests this Court to close this petition.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.

6. In the case on hand, subsequent to the mortgage deed dated 3/6

20.05.1967, the petitioners and their father were in possession and enjoyment of the subject lands for the past 58 years. Under these circumstances, at the time of UDR survey the said lands were classified as "Anathinam". Hence, the representation dated 19.05.2025 was filed by the petitioners before the 1st respondent for issuance of assignment patta in their name.

7. Today, it was submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader that the petitioners' representation was already rejected by the respondent and it will be dispatched by today (04.09.2025).
