This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register the complaint made in June 2015 and investigate the same in accordance with law and file a final report.
2. The petitioner herein has lodged a complaint as against one Venugopal stating that the said Venugopal had received a sum of Rs.2.25 crores and executed a power of attorney in favour of the petitioner in respect of the immovable property, a house with vacant land, situated at Ram Nagar, Tiruppur, registered in Document No.961/2012. been taken to execute the sale deed in respect of the said property in favour of the petitioner, without the knowledge of the petitioner, the said Venugopal, cancelled the power of attorney. He has also not returned the amount received from the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint with the respondent police. Since no action was taken so far, the present petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on completion of enquiry, the complaint given by the petitioner has been closed and he he has also produced the closure report.
5. Since the complaint given by the petitioner has been closed, nothing survives in this petition. Therefore, the criminal original petition is closed. However, the respondent police is directed to serve a copy of the closure report to the petitioner.
