O R D E R
This Contempt Petition is filed praying to punish the Respondents for non-compliance of the order dated 04.01.2021 passed by this Court in W.P.No.20086 of 2020.
When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondents produced a copy of the proceedings of the Chief Engineer/Personnel (FAC), Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd. (TANGEDCO), Chennai vide Memo No.006268/G.58/G.581/2021-3, dated 01.03.2022, and submitted that, the benefits due to the Petitioner will be extended to him within a period of four weeks. For better appreciation, relevant portion of the said proceedings is extracted hereunder:

Accordingly, the Superintending Engineer/P&A/Tuticorin Thermal Power Station is hereby directed to issue necessary orders for converting the Contributory Pension Scheme into General Provident Fund Scheme to Thiru.Y.Gnanasekar @ Sekar, Fitter Grade - II, with effect from 01.05.1999.

Tuticorin Thermal Power Station is directed to take necessary further course of action on the above orders and send the compliance report to this office without fail.
In view of the above proceedings and recording the submissions of the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondents that, the benefits due to the Petitioner will be extended to him within a period of four weeks preferably before 30.04.2022, this Contempt Petition is closed. It is made clear that, if the Petitioner has any grievance, it is open to him to put forth the same in the manner known to law.
