This Court by its order dated 15.06.2021, recording the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner on his own volition is ready to deposit a sum of Rs.20,00,000/- to the credit of the crime number in two equal instalments, had granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner on condition to pay a sum of Rs.20,00,000/- in two instalments and first instalment of Rs.10,00,000/- shall be deposited within a period of four weeks and the second instalment of Rs.10,00,000/- shall be made within a further period of six weeks.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in compliance of the said anticipatory bail order, the petitioner has already deposited the first instalment amount of Rs.10,00,000/- as ordered by this Court on 25.08.2021, however due to pandemic situation, he has not able to mobilize money to pay the second instalment amount and hence he prays for modification to that extent. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, since the petitioner has made the first instalment amount within a time frame as ordered by this Court, this Court is inclined to allow the modification petition and modified the order dated 15.06.2021 to an extent that the remaining amount of Rs.10,00,000/- shall be payable in two equal instalments and thereby the first instalment amount of Rs.5,00,000/- shall be deposited within a period of four weeks and the balance amount of Rs.5,00,000/- shall be made within a further period of four weeks thereafter.

4. This Modification Petition is ordered with the above observations.
