Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for WRIT OF MANDAMUS, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner representation dated 21.10.2022 to appoint the petitioner in the respondents department in any one of the post according to his educational qualification under the Compassionate Ground. ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner for appointing him on compassionate ground.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 3 & 4 and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner's father died on 24.06.2022 and his mother pre-deceased his father. His father died leaving behind the petitioner, one brother and
one sister as his legal heirs. His father was employed as Sales Man under the third respondent. While he was in service, he died due to ill-health. The petitioner is a B.E., Degree holder and as such, he applied for compassionate appointment on the demise of his father. The request made by the petitioner is pending on the file of the third respondent.
4. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, the third and fourth respondents are directed to consider the request of the petitioner and appoint him in any suitable post on compassionate ground within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
