ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue a direction to the 1st respondent herein to transfer the complaint dated 30.08.2016 in Crime No. 390 of 2016 pending on the file of 2nd respondent to the file of CBCID, Chennai.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, there was no representation for the petitioner. However, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that this case has been registered against https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner for the offence under Section 302 IPC and there are serious allegations against him.

3. This Court is of the view that filing a petition to quash the complaint pertaining to such a grave offence itself is a clear abuse of process of law and the present petition is liable to be quashed.

4. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed and the respondents are directed to carry out the investigation as expeditiously as possible.
