ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking for a direction to transfer the investigation registered in Crime No.3056/2015 on the file of the Inspector of Police, R-5, Virugambakkam Police Station, Chennai, to any other police station or Investigating Agency.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered in Crime No.3056 of 2015, on 17.07.2015, for the offences punishable under Sections 373 and 307 of IPC and Section 66 of Tamil Nadu Women Harassment Act. But the investigation has not been properly done by the respondent police and hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition for the relief as stated above.

4. At this juncture, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the investigation is going on in right direction and hence, he prayed for dismissal of the petition.

5. Considering the rival submissions made on both sides, this Court is of the view that it is appropriate to give a direction to the Assistant Commissioner, Vadapalani, to monitor the investigation. Accordingly, the Assistant Commissioner, Vadapalani, Chennai, is directed to monitor the investigation done by the respondent police in Crime No.3056 of 2015, pending on the file of the respondent police.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
