PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., seeking for a direction to direct the 1st respondent to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2017 and consequently directing the 1st respondent to provide proper medical treatment to the petitioner's son Edwin who was a victim in D2, Thiruvalangaadu Police Station in Crime No.127 of 2017 by treating him in Government Hospital at Royapettah, Chennai by constituting a team of doctors.

O R D E R

(This case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to direct the 1st respondent to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2017 and subsequently direct the 1st respondent to provide proper medical treatment to the petitioner's son namely Edwin

who was a victim in D2, Thiruvalangaadu Police Station in Crime No.127 of 2017 by treating him in the Government Hospital at Royapettah, Chennai by constituting a team of doctors.

In the Medical Report dated 28.04.2017, issued by the Civil Assistant Surgeon, Central Prison Hospital, Central Prison-II, Puzhal, Chennai, it is stated that "the son of the petitioner/ prisoner Edwin (Prisoner No.12107/2016), was remanded to Central Prison -2 Puzhal on 30.03.2017 who was 23 years old. At the time of remand the prisoner had a history of injury to his right leg for which he was treated as in patient at Thiruvallur Government Hospital and was diagnosed to have fracture right fibula bone and he was given below knee pop slap for his leg. He was treated as an in patient in prison hospital with a analgesics and oral antibiotics from 30.03.2017 to 22.04.2017 and then referred to Stanley government Hospital 15.04.2017 for specialist opinion. Currently the prisoner's health conditions is stable and he is receiving adequate treatment for his fracture of right leg and was referred for further specialist treatment to Stanley Government Hospital Ortho department for further specialist treatment on 28.04.2017".

3. From the above medical report, it is seen that already special treatment has been given to the petitioner's son and his health condition is taken care of by the authorities and that the petitioner's prayer is meted out. Hence, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
