ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Sections 323, 498(A), 313, 506(i) of IPC r/w Section 3 & 4 Dowry Prohibition Act 1961 in Cr.No.18 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is the husband of the defacto complainant. Further, the petitioner had married the defacto complainant, and after the marriage, the petitioner along with his family members had abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and demanded additional dowry and harassed her. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the petitioner had married the defacto complainant, and after the marriage, the petitioner along with his family members had abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and demanded additional dowry and harassed her. He further submitted that there is serious allegation made against the petitioner and the investigation is at initial stage. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner and the investigation is at initial stage, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
