, J This Civil Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 1796 days in filing the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal.

2. Heard Mr. Amar Dineshbhai Pandiya, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners.

3. Mr.J. Chandran, learned counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the second respondent Insurance Company, did not raise any serious objection in allowing this petition.

4.Having satisfied with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of this petition, the miscellaneous petition is allowed and the delay of 1796 days in filing the above appeal is condoned.

5. Registry is directed to number the main Civil Miscellaneous Appeal, if it is otherwise in order, and print the name of Mr.J. Chandran as counsel for the second respondent at the time of admission.

6. It is made clear that for the period of delay of 1796 days, the petitioner will not be entitled for any interest if in the event of this Court enhancing the amount of compensation fixed by the Tribunal.

7. With the consent of both the learned counsels on record, the matter is referred to the National Lok Adalath to be held on 14.09.2024, at Madras High Court. Both the counsels are directed to inform their clients to appear before the National Lok Adalath on 14.09.2024 at 10 a.m.
