This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner for any suitable post on compassionate grounds in pursuance of petitioner's applications dated 10.02.2023 and 25.07.2023 within a period fixed by this Court.
2.It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's mother, namely, Amutha, who was working in the 4th respondent Town Panchayat, died in harness on 22.11.2022. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted her applications for compassionate appointment on 10.02.2023 and 25.07.2023. However, the same have not been considered. Hence, the writ. Since the petitioner is a Post Graduate and physically challenged person, she seeks directions to the respondent to consider her application for compassionate appointment.
3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.Prabakaran, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.C.Harsharaj, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the 4th respondent.
4.Considering the limited nature of the relief sought for in the present writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the applications of the petitioner dated 10.02.2023 and 25.07.2023 for compassionate appointment, and pass appropriate orders, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
