PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the entire records relating to the petitioner's son detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order dated 16.07.2024 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings Memo B.C.D.F.G.I.S.S.S.V.No.22/2024 quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondent herein in produce the petitioner's son namely Lokesh S/o. Chinnappan aged about 27 years, before this Court and set the petitioner's son at liberty from detention, now the petitioner's son detained at Central Prison, Puzhal-II, Chennai - 66. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) Mr.E.Raj Thilak, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the impugned order of detention has already been revoked by the competent Authority vide G.O.Rt.No.6215, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department dated 05.09.2024.
Therefore, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken and the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
