O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Principal District Sessions Judge, Salem to take proper steps in P.R.No.5 of 2005 and complete the trial within stipulated time.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that earlier this Court had directed the learned Judicial Magistrate-II, Mettur, Salem District to send the records including the statement recorded from the victim on 07.09.2003 in Crime No.538 of 2003 culminated as P.R.No.5 of 2005 from the then learned Judicial Magistrate, Omalur, but so far no report has been received. He further submits that the case is pending from the 2005. Hence, the petitioner has filed this petition.

3. It is seen from the records that the present case in PR.No.5 2005 is pending from the 2005. Considering the same, the learned Judicial Magistrate-II, Mettur, Salem District is directed to complete the committal proceedings in respect of P.R.No.5 of 2005 in Crime No.538 of 2003 on the file of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent police within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. Thereafter the learned trial Court is directed to complete the trial in P.R.No.5 of 2005 within a period of six months from the date of committal.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
