Today, when these writ appeals were taken up for hearing, Mr.M.Aswin, learned Standing Counsel for the Transport Corporation submitted a copy of the letter dated 26.08.2023 addressed to him from the General Manager of the Transport Corporation, along with a copy of his letter dated 19.08.2023. From a perusal of the latter letter dated 19.08.2023, it is evident that the workman has received a cheque for a sum of Rs.15,574/- towards total backwages payable to him.

Further, Mr. M. Aswin, across the bar, submitted that pension will be paid to the workman effective 01.09.2023.

The aforesaid letters and the submission of the learned Standing Counsel are taken on record and no further orders are required to be passed in these appeals.
