Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Section 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent authority to grant permission festival for the period from 02.09.2019 to 06.09.2019 in a grand manner by taking the Vinayakar statue by procession in Eacher, with drums, music and celebrations on the way via. Pudur Marriyamman Koil Street, Bypass Road, MG Road, Palacode Bus stand viz., Tomato market, thereafter dropping the statue in Hogenakkal River water on 06.09.2019 in a grand manner consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.08.2019 and police protection.

O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the Festival for the period from 02.09.2019 to 06.09.2019 and to take the Vinayagar Idol in procession on 06.09.2019.
2.Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent police.

3.Taking into consideration, the limited relief sought for in this petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner and grant permission to conduct the Festival. It is made clear that insofar as the procession is concerned, it is for the police to decide the route and the petitioner has to strictly comply with the route suggested by the respondent police. It is also left open to the respondent to impose reasonable conditions and the petitioner is bound to comply with the same. The petitioner shall pay a cost of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) to the respondent police towards police protection.
4.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No cost.
