Mr.B.Pachaiyappan, Government Counsel Common Order These Writ Petitions are filed for a Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 13.05.2025 and directing the 3rd respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner's property situated in S.No.8/7 Grama Natham Survey No.382/8A1, measuring 479 Sq.Ft. each situated at Kalavai Village and Taluk.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners' ancestors were residing and doing cultivation for more than 90 years and they were in absolute possession and enjoyment of the properties comprised in S.No.8/72, Grama Natham Survey No.382/8A1. The petitioners have also obtained electricity and water connection for the above properties. The aforesaid lands are classified as Grama Natham and gifted by the Government for constructing residential houses, however the 3rd respondent has not issued

patta for the above properties, though adjacent lands were granted patta. Therefore, the petitioners applied for patta for their property, but there is no response from the 3rd respondent. Again on 13.05.2025, the petitioners made a representation to the 1st respondent requesting to issue patta for their properties, but till date no action has been taken. Hence, the petitioners have filed the instant writ petitions.

3. In reply, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioners' representation dated 13.05.2025 will be disposed of by the 1st respondent within a period of twelve weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Government Counsel for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.05.2025 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
