ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the Service Regulations Amendment Committee, Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA), the fourth respondent herein, to consider representations dated 20.03.2025 and 10.06.2025 submitted by the petitioners to the second respondent seeking amendment of the Eligibility Criteria of the candidates working as Planning Assistant Grade - I/Junior Planner with Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering for promotion to the post of

3/5 Assistant Planner coming under the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority Service Regulations, 2022 and suitably amending the ratio between direct recruits and promotees for the post of Assistant Planner as 1:3 and seeking other reliefs and issue final report considering all the request in the representation submitted by the petitioners who are working as Planning Assistant Grade - I/Junior Planner in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the representations dated 20.03.2025 and 10.06.2025 submitted by the petitioners, conduct enquiry, after issuance of notice to the petitioners and counter parties if any and after giving an opportunity of hearing to them, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
