PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on petitioner representation dated 11.7.2024 seeking for issuance of Patta to the property comprised in survey No.672/2, Plot No.44, Madambakkam Village, Saidapet Taluk, Chennai measuring 2400 square feet land.

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to 2nd respondent to consider his representation dated 11.07.2024 seeking issue of patta in respect of his property in Survey No.672/2, Plot No.44, Madambakkam Village, Saidapet Taluk, Chennai.

2. According to the petitioner, he purchased the above mentioned property under a registered sale deed dated 20.07.1979 and patta for the said property has not been mutated in his favour. Therefore, he submitted a representation to the respondents seeking issue of patta in his name on 11.07.2024 and the same has not been considered.

3. The learned Government Advocate, who is taking notice for the respondents submitted that if the petitioner submits an online application seeking transfer of patta, the same would be considered on its' own merits within a time fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, he is directed to submit an online application seeking 2/4

transfer of patta within a period of two weeks weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If any such application is filed, the same shall be considered by the 1st respondent and final orders shall be passed on its' own merits within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of such online application.
